About
Ya Mei sings nature songs, channels ancestral sounds, and gives voice to the mysteries of love and life. She creates evocative rituals and "prayerformances" that combine transcendent sound, timeless voices, and unifying vibrations.
Ya Mei calls what she offers a “prayerformance”, a mixture of prayer+performance, opening to the frequency and vibration of the universal sound of “Love”. She has been singing in choirs since 12. She sang in her choir at the University of Redlands on a music scholarship. Currently, she hosts and sings for "Eternal Voices", a 2 hour immersive sound healing journey where she often collaborates with local artists every three months in Santa Cruz (her next event will be July 11th).
Ya Mei is the mother of two precious children and when she is not singing she and her husband host Conscious Dance events and retreats every solstice and equinox in the Santa Cruz mountains.
